TNBA Youth Weekend at the ITRC

TNBA youth bowlers at the International Training and Research Center

Each year, selected TNBA youth bowlers have the opportunity to train at the USBC International Training and Research Center in Arlington, Texas.

This multi-day experience was created to open pathways for increased minority participation at elite levels of bowling competition.

Participants train at the Olympic-designated facility with Team USA coaches and staff members while gaining valuable instruction, exposure and competitive experience.

An Elite Training Opportunity

The program provides highly skilled TNBA youth athletes with access to professional coaching, advanced training resources and an opportunity to experience a national-level training environment.

Eight Athletes

Four boys and four girls are selected to participate in the training weekend.

Participants receive focused training with Team USA coaches and professional staff.

Expenses Paid

Program expenses are paid by TNBA and USBC for the selected youth athletes.

Developing Future Champions

The success of the program can be seen through its alumni, including current and former collegiate standouts.

TNBA participants have included accomplished high school seniors graduating with state titles, tournament victories and scratch competition championships.

The experience gives talented young bowlers greater visibility while helping prepare them for future collegiate, national and elite-level competition.

Program alumni are encouraged to share this opportunity with qualified youth bowlers and help identify talented athletes who may benefit from the training experience.

TNBA youth coordinators and coaches are also encouraged to contact the project coordinator with questions and to submit qualified candidates for consideration.
