Central Region Junior Tournament

Dear TNBA Family,
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable accomplishment of one of our very own, Landen Henderson.
Landen is a proud Central Region TNBA Youth member representing the Joliet Senate and a Central Region Junior Tournament (CRJT) title holder, having captured the 2024 CRJT Doubles Championship. Since then, he has continued to excel both on and off the lanes.

On May 31, 2026, Landen made history by becoming the youngest champion in the 76-year history of the Times Classic Bowling Tournament, held at Olympia Lanes in Hammond, Indiana. Remarkably, Landen turned just 9 years old during the tournament’s qualifying period and went on to win the Class C division on Championship Sunday.

To secure the title, Landen rolled an impressive 614 scratch series and 803 handicap series. While this was a handicap event, what makes this accomplishment even more extraordinary is that he defeated every adult male competitor in his division scratch as well.

Yes, you read that correctly.

This was an adult tournament that was open to youth bowlers, and Landen rose to the occasion in spectacular fashion. Competing against experienced adult bowlers, he remained composed, focused, and confident throughout the event, demonstrating the talent, discipline, and sportsmanship that make us proud to call him one of our own.

Landen’s historic achievement is a testament to the bright future of our youth program and serves as an inspiration to young bowlers throughout the Central Region and TNBA.
