History of JP & SP, Inc.

The Junior Program & Scholarship Program, Inc. was established on August 4, 1980, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the educational advancement of youth affiliated with The National Bowling Association, Inc.

JP & SP, Inc. serves as the official scholarship and fundraising arm supporting TNBA youth pursuing college, trade, or vocational education.

Through the dedication of members, Senates, sponsors, and donors, the organization has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships nationwide.

Today, JP & SP, Inc. continues investing in the future—one scholar at a time.

Scholarship Opportunities

The National Bowling Association (TNBA) is pleased to offer three scholarship opportunities to support members pursuing higher education.

Owen O. Washington Scholarship

Supports graduating high school seniors entering college or trade school.

For graduating seniors

Margaret S. Lee Book Scholarship

Provides book assistance for continuing undergraduate students.

For returning undergraduates

Talisman Graduate Scholarship

Supports TNBA members pursuing graduate-level education.

For graduate students

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a TNBA Junior Bowler, or
  • Have a parent or guardian who is a TNBA Senate member
  • Meet scholarship-specific requirements
  • Follow submission procedures

All scholarship applications must be submitted to the National Scholarship Chair.
